Sailing at a higher level

Most functions depend on 3 inputs:

• Boatspeed is needed for true wind, log, polars, DR and other things.
• Apparent wind is needed for true wind, and to switch boatspeed transducers (if you have 2 boatspeed transducers).
• Heading is needed for wind direction and DR.

• Is boatspeed working? No.
• Is Apparent wind angle working? No.
• Is heading working? No.

• Disconnect the coax cable from the rest of the Ockam bus, and measure the voltage on the center pin of the bus (not the interface).
• If the voltage is less than 9 volts,
Check for open bus.
• (Pwr OK) If a T2, check dip switch 'a' is on (up).
• Check for dirty contacts or suspect cable.

• Disconnect the coax cable from the rest of the Ockam bus, and measure the voltage on the center pin of the bus (not the interface).
• If the voltage is less than 9 volts,
Check for open bus.
• (Pwr OK) If a T2, check dip switch 'b' is on (up).
• Check for dirty contacts or suspect cable.

• The 033 "Heading" (black or grey box).
• The T2 "Multiplex" (grey box) interface.
• The T1 processor NMEA input.

• Disconnect the coax cable from the rest of the Ockam bus, and measure the voltage on the center pin of the bus (not the interface).
• If the voltage is less than 9 volts,
Check for open bus.
• (Pwr OK) If a T2, check dip switch 'c' off (down) and 'd' on (up).
• Check for dirty contacts or suspect cable.

• Is the NMEA input light flashing? If not:
• Determine that power is being delivered to the sensor.
