Alan McGlashan joins Ockam
MILFORD, CONNEICUT, December 19, 2007 … Richard McCurdy,
President of Ockam Instruments, Inc., announced today that Alan
McGlashan has joined Ockam as the Vice President of Sales and
Marketing. In his new position, he will be responsible for the growth
of global sales and product marketing.
A native of New Zealand, Alan brings more than 18 years of marine
industry experience to Ockam along with a vast depth of sailing and
racing knowledge. McGlashan first started sailing Optimists
when
he was five years old and began his marine career on the floor of Brin
Wilson boats in New Zealand as a boat builder. He previously
worked at Ronstan as the Northeast Sales Representative with the
primary responsibility for growing the Ronstan range of “Big
Boat” hardware. Additionally he brings a strong
professional background that includes experience as a professional
sailor, project manager and sail maker.
McGlashan is actively working with many boat programs with in several
classes which include Farr 40’s, TP 52’s, Mumm 30
and the
Swan 45 class. Working with the techs at Ockam Alan will
expand
