Ockam Hardware
There are several
handy auxillary inputs
available for use with Ockam systems.
Loadcells
are sensitive devices that ensure
optimal rig tension. In addition to the
sensor, an amplifier is required to
calibrate and digitize the signal for display. The T1, T2
or 066
Loadcell interface accept the digital signal from a loadcell
amplifier for display.
The 067
Loadcell processor accepts a loadcell sensor directly,
eliminating the need for a seperate amplifier.

Displacement
sensors monitor a multitude of things including
rudder, tab and keels/center board(s), mast ram and cunningham.
The 069
Displacement
interface connects these sensors to the Ockam system. |

Depth
The T1, T2
or 028
Depth interface accept a smart depth
sensor or the NMEA output from an external source. A second depth
readout is available via the 099 2nd depth interface. |

Custom interfaces
There are often requirements to measure and display some non-standard item. The 069
Displacement
interface
handles many of these jobs. But, sometimes, no standard interface is
suitable. For those cases, Ockam provides the custom interface service.
These products are grouped under the 099 part number. To date, we have
produced over 150 such 1-off products.
A good example of such an interface is the 099DM1 displacement
controller. This is a displacement interface with the added advantage
of being able to control the item it is measuring. This device was
developed to control a forward hydraulic rudder. It was produced in 2
weeks for $1500.
